Possible reconciliation between Andrew Rowell and John Tredgett and John Crosby and Grace Evangelical Church

John Tredgett and John Crosby's pre-requisites to reconciliation:

On the subject of reconciliation, it is unquestionably a good and godly aim. It would be wonderful if better relations between you and those at GEC could be achieved. I (and John C) are willing to meet up and talk face to face to help further that end - but it must be preceded by a retraction of the false accusations concerning ourselves, particularly the claims that we have acted 'at odds with truth and justice', and that John T is guilty of lying or gaslighting.

I must accept that I have made false accusations - specifically

* that they have acted at odds with truth and justice.

* John Tredgett is guilty of lying or gaslighting

I am of course willing to publicly withdraw any and all false accusations but I need to be convinced that they are false otherwise I am guilty of bearing false witness myself!

I am willing to accept that there may have been an element of confusion and misunderstanding in this business but I am not willing to accept that that is the explanation of the entire situation. Christians who think that there has been merely misunderstanding and confusion should be willing to correct to the truth and have the truth properly investigated. That did not happen here. There was evasion and cover up. No proper investigation by a third party was agreed to.

Points to Note.

1. Linda and Bryony testify that there was a conversation which took place on the evening of 19th November 2023

2. John Tredgett (knowing the exact words of the conversation that had been overheard) wrote in an email on 21st December that "either he and Audrey Noble are mad or no such conversation took place."

3. John Tredgett does not believe that Linda lied at any point.

4. John Tredgett claims to have a complete memory blank with regards to these events but knows that he was not surprised when Malcolm and Audrey appeared at the "members meeting" the next day. He knows that they told him that they going to attend the members meeting (even though they were not church members) that evening.

5. Audrey Noble and Janet Vogan have since testified that the conversation did in fact take place. Janet Vogan has maintained that John Tredgett cannot be relied upon with regards to his testimony about the conversation.

6. All the people concerned have shown a surprising and shocking unwillingness to have this whole situation properly sorted out... despite repeated requests from multiple potential peacemakers.

7. That John Tredgett made a case for official rebuke against Linda for "eavesdropping" on a conversation that he had declared did not take place unless he and Audrey Noble had gone mad.

The two Johns were in a position where having had me resign they were facing the loss of Steve and Val Glass and Malcolm and Audrey Noble unless they changed their declared position about my preaching. Contrary to their declared position that my preaching was fine they made an astonishing 180 degree switch and agreed 100% with the two dissenting couples.
